Mangon Aircraft, Inc.

Petaluma Municipal Airport's modern aircraft maintenance facility.

While still in the United States Air force, our founder, Walter Mangon started a one-man company known as Mangon Aircraft Repair Service. The doors to our first maintenance hanger opened at Smith Ranch Airport in San Rafael California in January 1969.

Retiring from the Air Force in 1972, Walter Mangon was then able to work on expanding the company. In November 1988 Mangon Aircraft Repair Service opened its present facility, in Petaluma California, to accommodate its expanding aircraft maintenance capabilities and customer base. With the growth of the company Mangon Aircraft Repair Service became Mangon Aircraft, Inc. in 2002 with Walter's son, Ronald Mangon as CEO.

Now with the addition of Ron's son, David Mangon, we are celebrating over 40 years in business and 3 generations of family working together!

Mangon Aircraft, Inc. is on the forefront of aviation maintenance and we use the most modern aircraft maintenance data tracking:

  • DatcoMedia computer program for electronic tracking of your maintenance, aircraft database and log book entries.

  • Avantext CD's for computerized maintenance manuals and Federal Library Information consisting of A.D.'s, S/B's TCD's STC's and more with updated emails everyday for A.D.'s.

  • A complete small aircraft maintenance library in microfiche format from Aircraft Technical Publishers.
